Joe Versus The Oceanarium

Hey, I’ve just added a video to my gallery . It’s called “Joe Versus The Oceanarium”. It was shot in April 2008 at the Oceanarium Restaurant in the
Pacific Beach Hotel in Waikiki Beach, Hawaii. The fishtank there is an enormous 52 feet long, 32 feet wide, and 26 feet deep, and holds about 280,000 gallons of seawater!
Watching the diver feeding the rays, I felt like I was watching a beautiful underwater ballet and had to capture it on video. After I returned to NY, as I watched the video (with all the restaurant noise audio), I felt compelled to add an audio track that complemented the beauty of the video. The music I chose is the end theme “Marooned Without You” by Georges Delerue, from one of my favorite movies… “Joe vs The Volcano”.
It’s such a beautiful piece of music, and I was quite surprised to find that I needed only a few edits for everything to come together. It’s almost as though the diver and rays had rehearsed to this music ahead of time. I still watch it often and it always leaves me feeling good.
