May 19th on Saturday, Yoko taught Newspaper Origami Class to Teens and Young adults.

Jon became  a top Assistant,  Kei came along to help me.

This is her second time to be Newpaper bags instructor assistant.

She seems very comfortable to teach almost the same age as her—– -YOUNG Adult.

Yes we had a great time with Teens.

Next Teensa class will be in July 17th at Suffern and 25th at New City Libaray.

Advanced class will be held at New City Library.( Must take Basic class is required)

Now Jon became the regular assistant of Newspaper Shopping Bags Class. Saturday afternoon class had 11 students. When students need help, they called  “Jon!….Help….”

NAWA new members get togehter and bring their art works and explain one by one.

It is great opportunity to know NAWA members and their art styles. NAWA is located 80 Fifth Avenue &14th Street in Manhattan. NAWA has chapter in Palm Beach, Florida

 Jon and Yoko plus 8 students enjoyed so much. It was fun class.

Another Class in June.  We look forward to teaching new students and advanced students at New City Library in June.

 This time we had 2 male students. They enjoyed. They came from Barcelona, Spain. 

 Next class will be New City Libaray on April 14th.Start  at 1pm.

 Magazine and Newspaper is no longer just a paper.

I turned magazine to the art materials.

I tried to find the best eyes and hair for Michael’s face from colorful magazine. I like it.

Yoko Has Found A Way To Make Recycling Fun And Creative!

Newspaper Origami Bags!!

Have ever looked at that growing stack of newspapers, magazines, and catalogs
waiting for recycling day and wondered if there was some other use for them…
besides lining the bird cage or lighting the woodstove? Something creative…
Something fun… Something useful! Well, wonder no more!! In her quest for new
artistic outlets, Yoko has stumbled upon using newspapers to make shopping bags,
and has decided to take it to another level by using Origami techniques.

She has became so captivated by this new activity, that she has decided to
“take it on the road” and teach classes around the area so others may share in
the fun and express their creativity. And the icing on the cake is, that most of
these classes are FREE!!

In the coming months, Yoko will be teaching short, two hour classes in the
southern New York area, showing how you can get started with this fun new hobby
that is not only good for the environment, but also artistically satisfying. At
the bottom of this page, you will find the currently scheduled classes.
